On Friday 24th May, Information Risk Management (IRM), launched Altran’s World Class Center for Cybersecurity with its annual company day and new website launch.
Since being acquired by Altran Group in 2017, the demand for cybersecurity consultancy services and products has continued to grow. With the average cost of cybercrime having increased by over 27% in the last two years, organisations are looking for direction and guidance from cybersecurity specialists.
Having realised the growing importance of the market, IRM has just announced the establishment of Altran’s “World Class Center for Cybersecurity”.
What is the World Class Center for Cybersecurity?
Altran Group is one of the leading engineering and R&D organisations in the world. With over 45,000 employees and over $2.9 billion annual turnover, the Group has set up several World Class Centers (WCC) over the years to provide tailor-made solutions for their clients.
With other Altran WCCs like analytics and IoT solutions, the WCC for Cybersecurity was a natural next step to help support clients across various sectors including automotive, aerospace and energy.
At the hub of the WCC for Cybersecurity is IRM in Cheltenham, UK, supported by satellite teams in France, Portugal and the US. Each geography brings their own unique specialisms including security by design, embedded systems testing and enterprise risk consultancy.
The combination of IRM’s IT security knowledge gained from over 20 years in the cyber industry and Altran’s experience in the engineering and OT realm offers an unrivalled and unique cybersecurity service.
New strategy, new website
To align with IRM’s new WCC strategy, a new website has been designed to reflect the global presence and full extent of cybersecurity services. The new website, along with a breakdown of key new strategies for the organisation was covered in IRM’s latest ‘company day’. The day brought together all IRM employees as well as Altran’s World Class Center for Cybersecurity Satellite Heads:
Francois Charbonneau – Head of France Satellite
Ali Bekkali – CTO, France Satellite
Albano Formiga – Portugal Satellite Head
Khalid Sebti – US Satellite Head
After understanding the exciting plans behind the WCC, IRM employees were given the opportunity to breakout into practical sessions to contribute ideas on how to achieve organisational goals.
The World Class Center for Cybersecurity will be making an external launch at Infosecurity Europe 2019, at Olympia London from 4th – 6th June. To learn more about IRM’s presence at the event, read our blog.
